Heavenly Delusion is a sci-fi (comedy?) manga that has a huge fan-following, thanks to its great art and story AND an anime too! But will that be enough to make the Mangasplaining crew fans of it too?
I tried the manga "before it was cool" and just couldn't. It didn't hold my attention at all. However, I was intrigued, so I watched the anime when it came out. It's enjoyable! The head slice was 100% not played as a gag in the anime. It was gutting. Also, the horrible scene that happens later on... I felt it coming and sped ahead, and it was thankfully a short, implied moment. Looks like they toned it down for the show, thank goodness.
It's also much like Utena, in that you can definitely guess what it's about, but you won't really know until later on!
Woah what happened to Dave’s recording in the very end? 😅
Nice episode!
