Ok this whole thing with Mother Sarah has me fascinated, because there are a ton of blogs posting about the series and there are copies of it in English available for sale all over the place (at wildly varying pricepoints), but all the wikis and such are stubs, with barely any info, and no one seems to have noticed the apologies or have any interest in talking about why it stopped being made. I did find a site that seemed to have scanned the issues for people to read (pretty sure not scanlation, since there are English ads that look right for the time and the Finish Line essay at the end). The Finish Line in issue 8 talks about the war against child prostitution and boycotting Thailand, so I can't help but wonder if maybe that's what landed them in hot water? Of course, without an actual copy I can't compare for any missing pages, and to figure out if the apology was posted in other comics of the time would be...exhausting. So that's all I've got.
